I am Honored and Excited to Join the 41st GIMAC Pre-Summit Consultative Meeting this week. I am truly grateful to the Gender Is My Agenda Campaign – GIMAC Network for the invitation to participate in the 41st GIMAC CSO Pre-Summit Consultative Meeting, taking place on February 7-8, 2025, at UNECA Compound in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This year’s theme, « Advancing the Agenda for Justice and Reparations for African Women and Girls, » is a powerful call to action. It aligns with the African Union’s 2025 theme, « Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations, » and will bring together civil society organizations, policymakers, and key stakeholders to discuss gender-sensitive approaches to justice and equality.
I am especially excited to reconnect with Mme Bineta Diop, African Union Special Envoy on Women, Peace, and Security, and all the incredible women leaders who continue to inspire and drive change across the continent. Their dedication to gender equality and justice is truly transformative.
I can’t wait to engage in impactful discussions, exchange insights, and contribute to shaping policies that uplift African women and girls. Thank you again to the GIMAC team for this opportunity!
